The article is devoted to the activities of Russian Australians in the state of Queensland (Australia) to preserve and spread the Russian language and Russian culture on the Green Continent. The main directions of this activity are characterized: conducting radio programs in Russian; work with Russian-speaking readers of the library of St. Nicholas Cathedral in Brisbane; publication of magazines in Russian; literary creativity of Russian Australians; work to preserve the historical memory of Russian Australians; educational work with young Russian Australians; organization of celebration of state and national Russian holidays, etc. The main sources for writing this article were the issues of journals Australiada. Russian Chronicle" (1994–1996 and 1999–2001) and "Australian Lamp" (2009-2024); narrative interviews with Lyudmila Larkina – the creator and editor-in-chief of the magazine about the life of the Russian diaspora in Australia "Australian Lamp" and the head of the literary and musical salon "Lampada" in Queensland (Australia) during a visit to Australia (2016, 2018), as well as meetings with her in Harbin (2023) and Russia (2024). The methodology of the article is based on oral history; The research methodology is based on the method of scientific description. In conclusion, it is concluded that Russian Australians in Queensland strive to preserve their national identity, doing everything possible to preserve the Russian language and Russian culture.
