В докладе представлен обзор публикаций учёных стран Восточной и Юго-Восточной Азии, содержание которых обусловлено идеями М.М. Бахтина, раскрывается эвристический потенциал концептов Бахтина. Установлено, что М.М. Бахтин является наиболее востребованным российским мыслителем для мировой и, в частности, азиатской гуманитарной науки. В докладе дается анализ 67 статей, опубликованных с 2005 по 2021 год в реферативной базе SCOPUS. Дан обобщенный анализ ответов авторов относительно причин их интереса к Бахтину. Показано, каким образом основные концепты Бахтина – диалогизм, гетероглоссия, карнавализация, хронотоп – позволяют исследователям интерпретировать сложные явления социальной жизни, выходя за рамки социолингвистического или литературоведческого дискурсов.
