В статье дается анализ проблем адаптации и интеграции вьетнамских иммигрантов в американское общество. Миграционные процессы всегда являлись одним из наиболее значимых факторов формирования американской̆ нации, поэтому проблемы интеграции зарубежных иммигрантов в американское общество на протяжении многих лет занимают одно из главных мест в общественно-политической жизни страны. Вьетнамская иммиграция в США укрепляет диаспоральную модель уклада жизни, а Соединённые Штаты по-прежнему остаются единственной высокоразвитой страной мира, в которой население продолжает расти высокими темпами, в том числе за счёт притока всё новых и новых иммигрантов. Исследование констатирует, что вьетнамская диаспора прошла трудный путь от дискриминируемой этнической группы беженцев до полноправных и успешных в социально-экономическом отношении американских граждан.
