This article presents the results of the authors' research on the current stage of qualitative changes in Russian-Chinese cooperation in food security in the Russian Far East. According to official data from China's customs statistics, the past five years have seen a significant increase in the export of Chinese food products to Russia and its Far Eastern regions, coinciding with a substantial reduction in food supplies from European countries. Alongside this trend, analytical reports from the Corporation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic confirm China's "leadership" in the country structure of foreign-capital residents op- erating within the preferential regimes of Advanced Special Economic Zones (ASEZs) and the Free Port of Vladivostok (FPV) in 2024–2025. Agriculture and the food industry in the southern regions of the Russian Far East, including Primorsky Krai, have been identified as sectoral priorities in the current stage of Russian- Chinese cooperation in the manufacturing sphere. Based on a comparative analysis of the competitive advantages of agricultural processing enterprises in Heilongjiang Province (China) and Us-suriysk (Russia), the economic feasibility of establishing export-oriented food production with high added value within the preferential regimes of Primorsky Krai has been demonstrated
