This article presents the results of a study of loneliness and resilience in adolescents with different levels of risk appetite. Adolescence is one of the most difficult periods of personality formation. Adaptation of adolescents to modern cultural and social conditions, resistance to various stressors, and actions in difficult situations can be difficult, as adolescents experience serious age-related changes: both physiological and psychological. The problem of risky behavior in adolescence is an urgent topic of research in connection with serious health consequences among adolescents prone to unjustified risk. The study involved 60 people (students in grades 7 and 8). The testing method was used as the main research method. According to the results of the study, it was revealed that adolescents with a low level of risk appetite are characterized by a higher level of resilience development and are less prone to experiencing loneliness than adolescents with high and medium levels of risk appetite. The more a teenager experiences loneliness and alienation, the more their tendency to risky behavior and unjustified risk increases. At the same time, an insufficiently developed ability to cope with difficult life situations with fortitude, low success rate, instability to stress factors, inability to independently choose their own field of activity and inability to enjoy their activities and learn from any experience, even negative ones, can lead to an increase in risk-taking among adolescents.
