The article examines the impact of the international situation, that has changed with the beginning of the special military operation, on the nature of bilateral relations between the RF and the DPRK. The results of the study showed that the greatest degree of strengthening of cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang over the past period occurred in military-political and humanitarian spheres. An assessment of prospects and limitations for further develop- ment of bilateral cooperation in these and other areas of interaction is given.
