В исследовании выделяются особенности и тенденции развития экономики КНДР с момента основания страны. Авторами обозначены факторы, определяющие развитие внешнеэкономических взаимодействий государства. Показано, что экзогенные шоки на современном этапе (международные санкции, пандемия COVID-19) оказали на экономику КНДР негативное влияние, сопоставимое с кризисом 1990-х гг. Для восстановления и роста экономики страны необходимы значительные ресурсы (инвестиционные, трудовые, материальные), которыми КНДР в настоящее время не обладает.

The study highlights features and trends in the economic development of the DPRK since its founding. The authors identify factors determining the development of foreign economic relations of the state. The analysis shows that exogenous shocks (international sanctions, the COVID-19 pandemic) have had a negative impact on the DPRK economy comparable to the crisis of the 1990s. To restore and grow the economy the DPRK needs significant resources (investment, labor, material) which the country does not possess.
